The Resource and Building Services team looks after the repair and maintenance of Renfrewshire Council\'s housing stock and municipal buildings. The team ensures the efficient and effective management of around 14,000 council houses and has an approximate spend of £9million per annum.
The key performance indicators are:
• Delivering the agreed contract programme and savings
• Issuing and managing framework of suppliers for the repair and maintenance of the properties
• Ensuring supplier engagement, community engagement and supplier development
• Dealing with new policies and procedures implemented by the policy review team
• Ensuring SME’s are well represented
• Developing and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure objectives are achieved
The successful candidate will:
• Ideally be from a construction procurement background
• Have worked in a dynamic procurement environment
• Have experience of delivering large capital procurement projects
• Be resilient with excellent attention to detail
• Manage and influence disparate teams both internal and external
• Ideally have knowledge partnership contract terms and conditions such as NEC3 / JCT
• Have project management experience
• Be a very strategic thinker
