The Property Services team is working on Renfreshore Council’s Building Better Communities project, five key projects in the Renfrewshire area with a capital spend budget of £92m. The contracts have already been awarded to 3 construction companies, and the focus will very much be on supporting this work stream plus demolition, asbestos survey and removal and all property services tendering. The Property Services team actually sits in with the technical staff to build better relationships between procurement, technical and outside suppliers to enable everyone to do their job more efficiently.
The key performance measures for this role are:
• Working with Housing and Property services to deliver agreed contract programme
• Setting up contract management, dealing with subcontractors
• Supporting the KPI’s by delivering savings through cost and efficiency improvements
• Extending the use of the frameworks
• Developing and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure objectives are achieved
• Promoting the frameworks and the benefits they can deliver
• Managing relationships with technical team internally as well as external suppliers
The successful candidate will:
• Ideally be from a construction procurement background
• Have worked in a dynamic procurement environment
• Have experience of delivering large capital procurement projects
• Be resilient with excellent attention to detail
• Manage and influence disparate teams both internal and external
• Ideally have knowledge partnership contract terms and conditions such as NEC3 / JCT
• Have project management experience
• Be a very strategic thinker
